Imagine for a moment if the Super Bowl was played by the fans of the teams over a year long period and the score wasn’t available until after the final whistle blew. That friends is what an election is like. The strategies, tactics, messages, money, and hard work all comes down to election night when the scores are announced and then suddenly it’s all over in the blink of an eye. This year it ended in a dramatic set of victories for the Republican Party at the national level.
Locally, we voted down a sales tax increase, and CAUTION is proud to have played a role in that. But what do the national election results mean? Who really won? What do we need to watch out for moving forward? All this and more will be the topic of discussion tonight at our Monday meeting. We don’t have an invited speaker tonight, this will be a chance for us all to share our thoughts on the election results as well as any other news stories that you wish to bring up.
So, join us tonight for the election debriefing. Social hour begins at 5pm and the meeting runs from 6-7:30 at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille. See you soon!

Can’t make CAUTION tonight but live in the University Area?
The UNC Charlotte chapter of Young Americans for Liberty presents venture capitalist and entrepreneur Bill Frezza for a case study on incentives.
“Do you think progress, economic growth, and innovation happens by itself? Do you believe it can’t be stomped out by foolish policies? Let me help you open your eyes before it’s too late. Join me for pizza and beer to hear stories from the real world as we explore the connections between risk, reward, failure, freedom, and free stuff.”
